The Henchman

This little fellow is the latest entry in my series of characters for the stop motion animation film that I will likely never make.

I’ve always loved animation, enough to build figures like this, but the actual feat of producing a film still eludes me (though I did manage to make the little 24 second test below). If this guy seems familiar, it is due to his genetic relationship to the crew of the good ship Megalodon.

Every element was found — scrap yards, second-hand stores, dumpsters — then cleaned, stripped, sorted and rebuilt. Found aluminum is TIG-welded and sanded seamless; nothing is cast. The electronics are salvaged from consumer devices, repaired and rewired so the piece does something when you touch it.
