The story
This one drives me nuts because I think he’s terrific, but I can’t seem to get a photograph that will do him justice.
He is deceptively tall (8 feet), and has springs mounted in his shoulders so that the slightest upset will produce a lot of waving around. No power needed for this one.
Every element was found — scrap yards, second-hand stores, dumpsters — then cleaned, stripped, sorted and rebuilt. Found aluminum is TIG-welded and sanded seamless; nothing is cast. The electronics are salvaged from consumer devices, repaired and rewired so the piece does something when you touch it.

Materials
Everything in this piece had a previous life. Nemo’s own inventory, in his words.
Drink pitcher, flower vase, lamp, chair parts, salad tongs, skillet, cup, fence cap, flash light reflector, springs, aluminum pipe.
