Small Collage Works

Shown here is a selection of works from a series of small hand cut collages completed for my solo exhibit: The 2nd Dimension of the 1st World (2018).

Graphic elements are distributed between layers of clear acrylic, creating various degrees of depth in each piece.

Every element was found — scrap yards, second-hand stores, dumpsters — then cleaned, stripped, sorted and rebuilt. Found aluminum is TIG-welded and sanded seamless; nothing is cast. The electronics are salvaged from consumer devices, repaired and rewired so the piece does something when you touch it.
