Lane Splitter

One of the main incentives for riding a motorcycle is the ability to “split lanes”, or drive between cars in heavy traffic.

The machine pictured here takes it a step further and allows the rider to literally split the traffic. The future is looking bright.

Every element was found — scrap yards, second-hand stores, dumpsters — then cleaned, stripped, sorted and rebuilt. Found aluminum is TIG-welded and sanded seamless; nothing is cast. The electronics are salvaged from consumer devices, repaired and rewired so the piece does something when you touch it.
