Parallax in motion
WATCH IT RUN
Why it exists
The word “Parallax” is defined: the effect whereby the position or direction of an object appears to differ when viewed from different positions.

Pressing the button on the base activates the motors in the sculpture for around 15 seconds.  The neck and “eye stalks” all rotate independently, and the mercury switch in the head cycles the light bulb on and off.

This sculpture is fairly large and heavy, so shipping could be costly.  I’d prefer to ship it in two pieces.  This would be more affordable, but would require some technical know-how to assemble once delivered.  Please contact me to discuss these options if you are considering purchasing this piece.

Found aluminum TIG-welded and sanded seamless; nothing is cast. Electronics salvaged from consumer devices, repaired and rewired.
